New groups are forming all year round!

Drama Based Group
The Fay J. Lindner Center for Autism & Developmental Disabilities is beginning a drama based psychotherapy group called Acting Out Loud for children ages 10-12 who are interested in improving social interactions using real-life role play. The group is targeting high functioning children on the spectrum who struggle with emotional understanding, facial expressions, body language and perspective taking. Dr. Amanda Rauf will run the hour long group beginning the week of September 21st.

Lego Club
The Fay J. Lindner Center for Autism & Developmental Disabilities is beginning a Lego based therapy group for children ages 8-10 who are interested in improving social competence. The group is targeting high functioning children on the spectrum who struggle with impulse control, joint attention, following social rules, lack social interest and have difficulty accepting and giving feedback. Dr. Amanda Rauf will run the hour long group beginning the week of September 21st.

Teen Guys Group
The Teen Guys Group is an ongoing social skills group for teen boys ages 14-17 looking to improve their social interactions. The group targets high functioning teen boys who struggle with conversational skills, perspective taking, coping skills as well as improving conflict resolution. Dr. Amanda Rauf will run the hour long group beginning the week of September 21st.
