In 2001, the Lindner Center was formed to meet the needs of children and adults with autism and related developmental disabilities, their families, public and private schools and the community. For over a decade, the Lindner Center has been providing the highest quality of care based on current research and state-of-the art assessment and treatment protocols.
In recognition of the Fay J. Lindner Foundation’s support and commitment to the Center’s development, the Center for Autism was renamed the Fay J. Lindner Center for Autism & Developmental Disabilities. In spring 2009, the program relocated to a new state-of-the-art facility on AHRC Nassau’s Brookville campus and now operates as a program of Advantage Care Diagnostic and Treatment Center, Inc. The Lindner Center continues to offer a wide range of programs and clinical services to individuals, families and schools. With the significant resources afforded by its affiliation with North Shore – Long Island Jewish Health System, the Lindner Center is well-positioned to continue to develop innovative, cutting-edge programming in clinical service and training.
